On the 8th of May of 2008,“BAR CAFFE MARENCA” opens run by Marcus and Alberto Carmine in Via Magistris no. 62 in Cannobio.
On the same premises, at the end of the XIX century, the beloved great-great grandfather Aquilino, devoted his time to the production of wooden boats, typical of lake Maggiore.
Later, at first the great-grandfather Giuseppe, then the grandfather Guglielmo with his father Giuseppe continued the tradition passing little by little also to the production of locks, thus creating a true carpenter's shop.
In 1970 Giuseppe decided to move to more suitable premises and his sons MARCO AND ALBERTO, after having finished their studies, decided to follow in their father’s footsteps.
This was until one day, when transported by a light “MARENCA” they decided to change track… and returning to the former premises of their grand-grand grandfather, they established the CAFFE MARENCA Lounge Bar ... <
